Event Container
Festivals, trade shows, pop-up stores, film shoots, exhibitions, corporate events: the container has become the standard equipment for secure storage, cold chain, dressing rooms, mobile bars. Speed, flexibility and fixed pricing.

The 6 key configurations of events
Event logistics storage
Sound/lighting equipment, technical tools, public luggage lockers, samples for a trade show. A 20-foot dry container is sufficient for 80% of needs. Rental £231 – £399/week-end.
Event cold chain
Beverages, caterer, mobile catering: the standard setup includes a 20-foot reefer container + 15 kVA generator. Budget £840 – £1,470/week-end all-included.
Pop-up shop / ticket booth
Fitted-out shipping container with counter, lighting, display window, customised brand wrap. Perfect for a strong visual identity. £840 – £1,680/week-end + branding (£840 – £2,625 additional).
Artist dressing rooms
40-foot HC fitted-out air-conditioned container with shower, toilet, make-up area, sofa. High-end festival option. Rental £1,470 – £2,625/week-end depending on equipment.
Mobile bar / snack
Snack container with professional kitchen equipment (gas or electric), counter facing outside, rear storage. Installation takes 2-3 hours on site. £1,260 – £2,940/weekend.
Film set / commercial shoot
Equipment storage, technical booths, catering area, control room office. Rental for the exact duration of the shoot, often in combo packages of 3-5 containers. On quote request.
Return within 24-48 hours: how it works
Unlike standard rental with a 30-day notice period, event rentals follow a fixed-date model. J-2 to J-1 before the event: delivery and installation. Available for the contracted duration. J+0 or J+1 after the event: dismantling and collection by container truck. Specialised event suppliers do this dozens of times per year — deadlines are met down to the minute.
Tip: For multi-year recurring events (festivals, annual trade shows), negotiate a multi-year framework contract with the same supplier. You get loyalty rates, booking priority, and streamlined logistics.
Frequently Asked Questions — Event Sector
When should I book a container for a major event?+
For a major summer festival (Vieilles Charrues, Hellfest, Eurockéennes…), book 2 to 4 months in advance. For a professional trade show, 4 to 8 weeks. For a pop-up commercial event or shoot, 2 to 3 weeks may suffice. At the last minute (less than 7 days), availability becomes unpredictable especially on weekends from June-July when reefers are quickly booked.
How much does a container cost for a festival weekend?+
Typical package for 3-4 days: £231 – £399 for a 20-foot storage container, £840 – £1,470 for a reefer 20-foot with generator and fuel included, £840 – £1,680 for a fitted-out pop-up container. Excluding round-trip delivery (£315 – £735). For a full week (7 days), approximately +50-70% of the weekend package.
What graphic wrapping is possible?+
Two approaches. Adhesive wrap on vinyl: from £840 – £2,625 depending on surface covered, quick installation/removal, ideal for one-off events. Wood or 3D decor wrapping: £3,150 – £15,750 based on complexity, suitable for major brand events or productions. Some partners offer pre-wrapped containers for rent with your design applied before delivery.
Can the container be installed in a public place?+
Yes subject to conditions. Occupation of public domain (square, street, municipal park): mandatory town hall authorisation, processing time 2-6 weeks depending on municipality. Some sites (national parks, historic city centres, coastal areas) have strict rules or prohibitions. For private rented land (festival site, field), the owner's agreement is sufficient, no town hall application required unless it exceeds <1 month.
How does electrical power supply work for isolated events?+
Three solutions. (1) Connection to event distribution board if adequately sized (minimum 32 A three-phase for a reefer). (2) Dedicated generator set 15-25 kVA in package with the container — rental £84 – £158/day plus fuel. (3) Temporary connection to Enedis grid on isolated site — 2-6 weeks processing time, £1,050 – £4,200 based on distance from network. The generator remains the most flexible option.
