Container volume calculator
Estimate how many cartons or pallets fit in each of the standard containers. The stowage coefficient (lost area due to palletisation and securing) is automatically applied at 0.85.

Calculation method
The usable volume of a standard 20-foot container is 33 m³, a 40-foot is 67 m³, a high cube is 76 m³, a refrigerated 40-foot about 60 m³ (insulation reduces usable volume).
In practice, you never reach 100% of the usable volume: imperfectly secured pallets, limited stacking, padding. The standard stowage coefficient is 0.85 — what we apply.
