Sanitary container: fully equipped mobile solution

Sanitary container: fully equipped mobile solution

Ready-to-use mobile sanitary facilities for construction sites, events, festivals or seasonal camps. A sanitary container delivered with showers, toilets, sinks, water heater and complete plumbing — to be connected to site water and sewage.

From£7,350
up to £27,300

Why a sanitary container?

Facing chemical toilets (TTC rental £7-20/day per unit, quickly degrade) or prefabricated sanitary units in Algeco bungalows (poor insulation, limited durability), the sanitary container offers a durable solution: galvanised anti-corrosion steel, professional plumbing, tiled showers, electric water heater.

Typically used for: construction sites ≥ 4 weeks with >10 people, public events and festivals, seasonal agricultural camps (harvesting, picking), humanitarian aid zones, construction site accommodation units.

Available sanitary formats

The 10-foot container is suitable for a small team (< 10 people) or complementary use. The 20-foot option offers complete communal facilities for construction sites or structured events.

Sanitary 10-foot container

2 to 3 showers + 2 toilets + 2 washbasins

£7,350 – £12,600

Small construction site (up to 8 workers), seasonal agricultural camp, supplementary local on an existing site.

Sanitary 20-foot container

4 to 6 showers + 4 toilets + 4 washbasins

£14,700 – £27,300

Structured construction site (15-30 workers), festival / large public event, humanitarian base camp, seasonal camp > 20 people.

Standard equipment included

A sanitary container sold in 2026 is always delivered with the full internal fit-out — only water connections and waste disposal need to be added on site.

Frequently Asked Questions about the sanitary container

What is the price of a sanitary container in 2026?+

A 10-foot sanitary container costs between £7,350 – £12,600 (2-3 showers + 2 toilets). A 20-foot: £14,700 – £27,300 (4-6 showers + 4 toilets). Price differences mainly come from the level of finish (standard vs premium tiling, mechanical vs electronic taps).

Can a sanitary container be rented?+

Yes, it is actually the main use: £189 – £315 / month for a 10-foot, £336 – £546 / month for a 20-foot in long-term rental. Purchase becomes profitable after 24-30 months of continuous use; otherwise, renting remains more economical.

What water supply and drainage is required on site?+

Minimum potable water supply pipe diameter: 20 mm (1 m³/h flow rate), sewage or septic tank sized according to the number of users (1,000 to 3,000 litres). On isolated construction sites, variants with an onboard water reservoir exist — autonomy of 2-4 days.

What does site connection cost?+

Standard water supply and drainage connection: £525 – £2,100 depending on distance from public networks and terrain complexity. Onboard water heater: £840 – £1,890 already integrated — to be verified in the quote.

What are the legal welfare requirements on a UK construction site?+

CDM 2015 Schedule 2 requires sanitary conveniences, washing facilities, drinking water, changing rooms and rest facilities from day one of works. HSE indicative ratios: 1 WC + 1 urinal per 25 men (or 1 WC per 25 in mixed/female occupancy), 1 wash basin per 5, 1 shower per 10 workers in dirty trades. A 20ft welfare unit typically covers a site of 15-30 workers.

What VAT rate applies?+

Standard VAT rate of the purchasing country (20 %) on the total cost (container + equipment + delivery). Recoverable for professionals liable. Amortisable over 10 years.
