An independent comparator for a market that needed one
In the container industry, as in many fragmented B2B/B2C markets, the first time you ask for a price, you have no idea if it is fair. ContainerEU was born to provide buyers with the visibility that sellers would prefer to keep for themselves.

Our mission
To enable anyone — individual or professional — to obtain five honest quotes for their project within 48 hours, whether it's a shipping container, site cabin, or portable cabin. Free of charge. No middleman taking hidden commissions. No selling of contact details. No unwanted sales calls. Just quotes, directly from verified suppliers, so you can compare and choose with confidence.
Why we created ContainerEU
The shipping container market in France consists of hundreds of sellers of all sizes, from manufacturers to used equipment resellers, including construction industry specialists. The offer is abundant. But for a buyer, finding it — and comparing it — is a nightmare.
Searching « achat conteneur 20 pieds » on Google returns three types of results: large e-commerce sites with prices that say 'contact us', dubious classified ads, and generic local pages. Result: to get three comparable quotes, you have to fill out three forms, make three calls, manage three follow-ups. Most people give up after two.
We start from the premise that an opaque market is not fatal — it just needs an independent structure to do proper matchmaking work. This is what insurance, health plan, construction works, and solar panel comparators have been doing for fifteen years. It was missing in shipping containers. Now, it exists.
Our four rules
Editorial independence
No supplier can buy a better position in our results. The matching is algorithmic and based solely on your needs and the historical quality of the supplier.
Transparency about data
The 'ContainerEU Barometer' publishes quarterly average prices observed from our quotes, anonymised. To make the market visible, not hidden.
Stringency in Selection
Each supplier partner is verified before joining the network: Companies House Number, VAT number, insurance, experience. Partners are removed from the network if their reviews drop or they fail to meet delivery commitments.
Data Protection
We do not resell any data. We will not subscribe you to any newsletter without explicit consent. Your contact details go only to the 5 selected suppliers — no more, no less. GDPR register maintained, DPO identified, rights guaranteed.
Who Writes What You Read
The ContainerEU editorial team is composed of a dedicated writing staff supported by an external expert committee that we interview regularly: maritime freight forwarders, manufacturers, specialised installers, urban planning lawyers, container architects. Each guide published on this site cites its sources and, when relevant, features at least one named expert from the sector. The opinions expressed in guides are those of ContainerEU alone and are reviewed at a minimum once per year.
